Eagle Incentive Program

Checklist for Accepted Students for Summer 2010

Congratulations!  We’ve reserved your space in the Eagle Incentive Program for summer 2010. Only a limited number of students will have the opportunity to participate in this program, which is specifically designed for students to prove their success for fall admission by taking eight credit hours during the summer. You will be required to successfully complete all classes with an average of "C" or better to ensure your transition into the fall semester. You’ll be ahead of your fellow students who start in the fall!

Reserve your space in university housing for both summer and fall terms at http://www.gsuhousing.com/EIP/. You will have to fill out separate applications, but you pay only one $100 non-refundable registration fee to apply for housing for summer and fall. (After May 15th, the registration fee goes up to $150.) It is very important that you apply for both summer 2010 and fall 2010 at the same time.  Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The priority deadline for fall and EIP housing is March 1, 2010. You will receive The Housing Guide in the mail to help you select your fall housing as well as a welcome e-mail. Students living on campus during EIP will benefit from tutoring in the residence halls, trained staff members, and programming that extends from the classroom into the residence hall.  Students in EIP will be housed in Southern Pines. Southern Pines offers suite-style housing with single-occupancy bedrooms that include a full-sized bed, full-sized refrigerator, a bathroom in the unit, and a living area.  The cost to live on campus during the EIP is $680 for the four-person suites and $715 for the two-person suites.  These costs include a residence hall activity fee of $10. If you have any questions, contact Patrick Robertson at housing@georgiasouthern.edu or 912-478-7224. Please indicate “Eagle Incentive Program” in the subject line.
