To be considered for the Accel/Dual Enrollment Program

The Accel Program allows high school students, juniors and seniors, to take college courses (on campus full-time or part-time) and earn dual credit (both high school and college credit).
Accel is a state-funded program for public and private high school students that provides dual enrollment tuition assistance* for both public and private high school students in Georgia. Students must meet a certain set of academic requirements and submit necessary paperwork to participate in Accel.

To be eligible for the Accel program you must meet the following:
Minimum 1000 SAT or 21 ACT (composite)
High School Academic GPA 3.0+
Approval from High School Guidance Counselor and Parents be on-track to
complete the College Preparatory Curriculum
*4 English credits
*4 Math credits
*3 Science credits (at least 2 lab science)
*3 Social Sciences credits
*2 Foreign Language credits (same language)
* Tuition assistance - Accel covers tuition and HOPE-approved mandatory fees to students attending eligible public postsecondary institutions. Students are also eligible for a book allowance.
** New for spring 2007: Students applying to Georgia Southern University as an Accel student DO NOT have to pay the $30.00 application fee. Please fill out this Accel application for admission and submit ALL pages to the Office of Admissions for processing.
