Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
If you need financial aid, you will need to complete the FAFSA, found online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. If you ONLY want to be reviewed for HOPE, you should complete the GSFAPP application available at www.gacollege411.org.
SEND IN YOUR FINAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT (if applicable)
Request that your guidance counselor send us your final high school transcript. This will include all of your classes and grades from all four years of high school and will not be available until after you graduate. Please make sure it includes your graduation date as well.
PAY TUITION AND FEES
Please be aware that your MyGeorgiaSouthern* account will not be accessible until you register for classes at SOAR. After you sign up for SOAR and register for classes, your tuition and fees will be tallied by the Office of Student Fees. The bill will vary in amount, but will be based on the following:
• Number of credit hours you are registered to take during the semester
• Residence Hall costs
• Student Fees
• Meal Plan
• Financial Aid Award
Additional expenses not billed by Georgia Southern include: Food, Gas, Eagle Express, Off Campus rent and utilities, etc.
The bill can be accessed on WINGS (Web Interactive Network for Georgia Southern) and is due by the first day of classes. Anyone who fails to pay their tuition and fees by this time will have their classes cancelled.
*MyGeorgiaSouthern is a single sign on portal for students to register for classes, access your financial aid information and pay fees.
