Parent Programs

Parent Programs

The Office of New Student & Family Programs seeks to partner with parents to foster their participation and involvement in their students’ college experience and forge a strong bond between the University, students, and their family. Through information, programs, and services, we aid in both students’ and parents’ transition to college and to the changing dynamics of the parent-college student relationship. A few of the programs, services, and opportunities we currently offer are a Family Website, Family Orientation/SOAR Program, Family Weekends, Electronic Newsletters, Summer Send-Offs, and Family Volunteer Opportunities.

Parent & Family Association

The Parent & Family Association seeks ways to enhance the University while forging strong bonds between the University, students, and their family. Membership includes student eligibility for the Parent & Family Association Scholarship, a monthly newsletter, special events during Fall Family Weekend, local and national discounts, and much more!  A one-year membership is $35 per family. We currently have over 1,800 member families.
