Is SOAR Mandatory?
~ Yes, SOAR is required for all new Georgia Southern Students.
2. When will I receive an invitation to SOAR?
~ After you are accepted to Georgia Southern, a SOAR Invitation will
be mailed to your home address.
3. How do I sign up for SOAR?
~ Complete the online SOAR Reservation Form and payment as soon as you can to
increase your chances of coming to your first choice of dates.
4. Are parents invited to SOAR?
~ Yes, parents are invited to attend. The freshman SOAR session includes
a program designed especially for parents. All parents are encouraged
to attend! There is a fee for parents participating in SOAR.
5. Why should I attend SOAR?
~ Meet new students, learn about GSU, talk with an Academic Advisor,
and register for classes.
6. How do I view my confirmation information?
~You can click on this link to access your confirmation
letter and information.
7. What if I can't attend?
~ SOAR is required for all new students. There will be a SOAR session avaiable to meet your needs. If you have a schedule conflict, contact the Office of Orientation at 912-GSU-SOAR.
