Select the student type that best matches your situation:

Freshman
A student who is still completing a high school or secondary school education, or has completed high school or secondary school and not taken a college or university course is considered a freshman for purposes of admission to Georgia Southern.

Eagle Incentive Program
A summer program for students that are given provisional admission.

Accel/Dual Enrollment

The Accel Program allows high school students, juniors and seniors, to take college courses (on campus full-time or part-time) and earn dual credit (both high school and college credit).

Homeschool
Homeschooled students are students who are taught in their homes, usually by their parents.

Mature
Have been out of high school at least five years or whose high school class graduated at least five years ago.

Transfer
A student who has taken a college or university course after graduation from high school or left high school before graduating to enroll full-time in college courses is considered a transfer student for purposes of admission to Georgia Southern.

Transient
A transient student is an undergraduate student in good standing at another accredited institution who enrolls for one semester at Georgia Southern University in order to complete work to be transferred back to the parent institution.

International Student
A student who is neither a US citizen or a US permanent resident and is still completing a high school or secondary school education, or has completed high school or secondary school and not taken a college or university course is considered an international freshman for purposes of admission to Georgia Southern.

Post Baccalaureate
A post-baccalaureate student is a student that has received a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and who is not seeking graduate-level credit.

Graduate or Higher
A student who has completed their undergraduate degree and would like to pursue a master's level degree or higher.

Graduate to Post-Baccalaureate
A student who has completed a Bachelor's degree and applies for Graduate Admission but is advised to take additional undergraduate classes to satisfy pre-requisite requirements, or raise their undergraduate cumulative GPA in order to gain Regular admission into a graduate program. The student will not be granted graduate-level credit and must contact the Graduate Admission office (gradadmissions@georgiasouthern.edu) to re-activate their graduate application for admission upon completion of Post-Baccalaureate courses.
