Students who score a minimum of 1300 on the SAT (math + critical reading only) or a 29 on the ACT and have a strong academic record in high school courses are encouraged to apply for an invitation to the Southern Scholars Showcase. Only 100 students will be invited to attend this event, where they will interview for valuable academic scholarships. In addition to interviewing for academic scholarship, a select number of finalists for 1906 Scholars and the University Honors Program will be interviewed during the Southern Scholars Showcase. To qualify for most academic scholarships, a student must earn a 1200 SAT score To qualify for a leadership scholarship, a student must earn a minimum 3.0 GPA, a minimum 1100 SAT (24 ACT), have outstanding leadership in high school, and leadership and involvement in the community through volunteer activities. Students selected as finalists for our academic scholarships will be invited to campus for a personal interview during the Leadership Conference in March.
