| A transient student is an undergraduate student in good standing at another accredited institution who enrolls for one semester at Georgia Southern University in order to complete work to be transferred back to the parent institution. Acceptance is based upon the following criteria:
Transient Admissions Requirements: Acceptance is based upon the following criteria: To be considered for Summer Term Acceptance Apply for Admission ($30 application fee) Letter of Good Standing from current school To be considered for Fall and Spring Acceptance, Transient Students must meet Transfer Student Admissions Requirements: To be considered for Regular Transfer Acceptance: Apply for Admission ($30 application fee) Minimum 30 transferable semester hours or 45 transferable quarter hours Cumulative College GPA 2.0+ (all work attempted) Eligible to return to current school To be considered for Freshman Transfer Acceptance: Apply for Admission ($30 application fee) (Have earned fewer than 30 transferable semester hours or 45 transferable quarter hours) Must be eligible to return to current school and meet Regular Freshman Acceptance Requirements Minimum 1000 SAT or 21 ACT (composite) High School Academic GPA 2.0+ Complete the College Preparatory Curriculum *4 English credits *4 Math credits *3 Science credits (at least 2 lab science) *3 Social Sciences credits *2 Foreign Language credits (same language) Note: If you were previously or are currently enrolled in Remedial, Learning Support, and/or College Prep make-up courses from high school.
