Scheduling Your Visit
We offer campus visits Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. During your visit, you will meet with an Admissions Counselor and take a walking tour of campus with a current student. The visit will last approximately an hour and a half.
Note, our walking tour of campus does not include a stop to see the inside of a residence hall and sample room. However, University Housing offers a special tour of Eagle Village, one of our apartment-style residence halls, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We offer an information session and campus tour on select Saturdays throughout the year at 10 a.m.
- If you have trouble making your online reservation, call us at 912-478-5851 or email us at visit@georgiasouthern.edu.
- Please schedule your visit at least three or more business days prior to your desired visit date.
- If you require special assistance, such as handicap accessibility, please contact our office at least 3 days prior to your visit. We are happy to provide accommodations to make your visit more enjoyable.
- Tours can be given in Spanish upon request. A minimum of two weeks notice is required. Please contact the Office of Admissions for more information.
Residence Hall Tour
At this time, our walking tour of campus does not include a stop to see the inside of a residence hall and sample room. However, University Housing offers a special tour of Eagle Village, one of our apartment-style residence halls, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
10:30 a.m. Campus Tour Guests
- The Office of Admissions will provide you with driving directions to Eagle Village once your visit with admissions has ended.
2:30 p.m. Campus Tour Guests
- Guests attending an afternoon campus tour are strongly encouraged to stop by Lewis Hall (Office of Admissions) at least an hour before your scheduled tour time in order to have ample time to receive driving directions to Eagle Village and complete the tour of the residence hall prior to the start of your visit with admissions.
About Eagle Village
- Eagle Village combines private bedrooms with many opportunities for community development through shared lounges, floor kitchens, and the four-unit apartment cluster. The apartment cluster gives students the opportunity to easily be able to meet and connect with other students in the residence hall. A shared clubhouse provides students with a computer lab, classrooms, and programming space for social and educational events sponsored by the residence hall staff. Visit the University Housing website to learn more about Eagle Village and all of our other residential communities on campus.
Transfer Fridays
These visits are geared toward students looking to transfer to Georgia Southern from another college or university.
Transfer Fridays are offered on the Statesboro Campus on select Fridays throughout the year from 12 to 2 p.m. Your visit begins at Lewis Hall, home of the Office of Admissions, where you will meet with a member of our transfer recruitment team for an informative presentation about the university and the admissions process. Afterward, one of our Southern Ambassadors will lead you on a walking tour of our beautiful campus, followed by an opportunity to meet one-on-one with an Admissions Counselor, apply for admission, or complete your next steps. Transfer Fridays are different from SOAR (orientation). You will not meet with an advisor to discuss class placement, credit, or selection during these visits. Transfer students are welcome to register for a daily campus tour but please note the presentation is focused on freshmen. Pre-registration is requested.
Register for Transfer Fridays:
- View available Transfer Fridays on the Transfer & Adult Event Calendar.
Online Info Sessions
- If you can’t make it to campus, we offer weekly live virtual events. Register for an upcoming event here! After you register, we will email you a link to log into the event.
