Why did you choose Georgia Southern?
I decided to come to the Armstrong Campus because of the diversity and inclusion. During a college fair in my high school, a staff member gave me a brochure with all the different organizations on campus. I saw the diversity on the campus and wanted to be a part of the experience.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is the Learning Commons. This is the place where I can study, socialize, and engage with my peers.
As a new student, what was your favorite part of the SOAR program?
My favorite part from the orientation program was the ability to bond with other students. This provided me with the opportunity to meet others before the first day of school.
What is the most important piece of advice you would give to incoming students?
The most important piece of advice I would give to incoming students is to never give up even when you fail. This doesn’t even mean with just academics, but also everyday life situations.
What is your favorite memory or experience at Georgia Southern thus far?
My favorite experience has been being a part of different organizations. Each and every organization including SOAR which has taught me an important leadership skill and given me the chance to meet amazing people.
A fun fact is I was born in Mexico D.F., Mexico.
