SOAR Leader Recruitment
The SOAR (Southern’s Orientation, Advisement, and Registration) Team is a group of students who work together to welcome all new students to Georgia Southern University. They assist in the development, planning, and implementation of the orientation program for more than 5,000 students and their family members on the Statesboro Campus and more than 1,000 students and their family members on the Armstrong Campus!

The application for the 2021 SOAR Team is currently open for Armstrong; the application has closed for Statesboro.

How to Apply
Apply through the Student Employment website. By filtering to part-time, you will be able to locate the job description easier.
In order to be considered for an interview, you must submit:
- A fully complete application on the Student Employment website. Please note that you will be required to upload a resume.
- Complete the Google Form sent by the Office of New Student & Family Programs. This will be sent via email after applying on the Student Employment website. Please allow up to two (2) business days to receive this email.
Applications for Armstrong must be submitted by Sunday, March 21st at 11:59pm.

We’ll be tabling on campus and available to discuss the role of a SOAR Leader, the application and interview processes, and answer any questions you may have! We’ll also be giving out SOAR t-shirts from previous years, as supplies last, as a thank you for stopping by!

Information Sessions will be held virtually and will discuss the role of a SOAR Leader, the application and interview processes, and answer any questions you may have!

The following events are mandatory for selected SOAR Leaders:
SOAR Kick-Off: Wednesday, March 10th from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
SOAR Team Meetings: (Tentatively) Wednesdays from 5:00-6:30 p.m. from March 22nd through the end of the Spring 2021 semester.
SOAR Training: May 10th-28th 2021
SOAR Sessions: Potential dates include June 2, 11, 14, 17, 18, 23, 25; July 7, 9, 13, 17, 22, 29; August 5, 6. *NOTE: There will be additional work expectations throughout the week outside of SOAR sessions.
