Why did you choose Georgia Southern?

I chose Georgia Southern because other than it is affordable and close to home, I saw it as a place where I would be able to better myself through education and make great relationships with faculty and students.

What is your favorite place on campus and why?

My favorite place on campus is the Learning Commons. It is such a welcoming environment and there are so many things to do. You can do homework and study, or you can just hang out and have a good time.

As a new student, what was your favorite part of the SOAR program?

When I went through SOAR my favorite part was getting to build relationships with the SOAR leaders and fellow students. My SOAR leaders were very welcoming and made the entire experience great. During my SOAR session, I was able to meet lots of people and make many friends. I still communicate with lots of them to this day.

What is the most important piece of advice you would give to incoming students?

The most important piece of advice I would give to incoming students is to get involved on campus and do something that you’re passionate about. There are so many organizations on campus that do so many great things. You can definitely find an organization that works for you, and I believe that harnessing those relationships early-on is definitely key.

What is your favorite memory or experience at Georgia Southern thus far?

My favorite experience here so far has been joining the SOAR program. I have met amazing people and built great relationships with my coworkers and fellow students

Fun Fact:

Two of my hobbies are working on my car and cooking. I have a Honda Civic that is my project car and I like to cook French cuisine
