Why did you choose Georgia Southern?
Georgia Southern was really the only financially viable option for me. It was close to home, close to the community I had become involved with, and most importantly: affordable. I may have considered applying elsewhere before I dual enrolled at Armstrong, but I quickly realized that this was the college for me.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
The International Gardens. It’s quiet, few people go there, and there’s a loquat tree no one knows about.
As a new student, what was your favorite part of SOAR?
Getting to meet my current friend group, but also getting to play dodgeball at the end of the night.
What is one piece of advice you would give to incoming students?
Learn to say no. There are people out there who will take advantage of you if you let them, and while it’s important to maintain trust with the people around you, learning to say no when you think it’s the correct time to do so, is the only way to know what you truly want, and what will create a healthy environment for you.
What is your favorite memory or experience at Georgia Southern thus far?
Getting accepted onto the SOAR team. 😉
I practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!
