I chose my university because I fell in love with the small class size, and the close relationships the students have with the professors. After exploring organization fairs, I could not stop reading about the amazing clubs we have on the campus and tried to join as many as my schedule would allow.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
The Learning Commons is a great study area and social hub because it is so versatile. You are able to socialize, but also find your own little nook or cranny if you really need to put in some work.
As a new student, what was your favorite part of the SOAR program?
My favorite part of orientation was meeting new people like my roommate that I had during orientation. We are actually still friends to this day because we met at orientation.
What is the most important piece of advice you would give to incoming students?
Use this time to get out of your comfort zone and participate in as many events and organizations as possible. If you are not comfortable then you know you are doing something right. That is the only way you will figure out who you are and what you are passionate about.
What is your favorite memory or experience at Georgia Southern thus far?
Joining greek life has had a huge impact on my life and helping me figure out who I am as a person. If I could compile all of my memories about greek life, whether they are good or bad, I would say those are some of my favorites.
I am related to the past presidents James Polk and Thomas Jefferson!
