Why did you choose Georgia Southern?
I always knew that I wanted to attend a university that was small and close to home. I didn’t know what I was going to major in at the time that I applied to Georgia Southern, but I found out what I wanted to major in after I was accepted. Georgia Southern checked all of my boxes and I absolutely love it!
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
I love all of the gardens on campus. When I am having a rough day and need some fresh air I love going to sit outside in the gardens where it is peaceful and quiet.
As a new student, what was your favorite part of the SOAR program?
My SOAR Leader was my favorite part of my SOAR Program! She made me feel so welcome and taught me a lot that I needed to know about Georgia Southern.
What is the most important piece of advice you would give to incoming students?
Go to class and stay motivated! Sometimes it is hard to get out of bed for an 8 AM class but do it. There is not always going to be someone to check over your shoulder so hold yourself accountable.
What is your favorite memory or experience
My favorite memory on the Georgia Southern Campus so far, is when I found I was accepted to be a SOAR leader for 2020! SOAR was something I wanted to be a part of since I attended my SOAR session as a freshman and I was able to accomplish my goal.
I have five brothers and two sisters, and absolutely adored growing up in a large family
