Why did you choose Georgia Southern?
I chose Georgia Southern because I’ve always heard great things about the school and how diverse the culture is on this campus. This campus also provides my major and I’ve looked into the program and it’s one of the best ones to be apart of!
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is the Student Union. The Student Union is one of the main places on campus where you can go to fellowship with other students during events. It’s a place for you to fellowship with others and it makes students and faculty come together in order for everyone to feel more at home.
As a new student, what was your favorite part of SOAR?
My favorite part of the SOAR Program was being able to talk to the SOAR leaders and ask them questions. Also, separating into small groups to learn more about my major was something that I enjoyed. It showed that the faculty cared about me gaining more knowledge when it came to my future endeavors.
What is one piece of advice you would give to incoming students?
One piece of advice that I would give incoming students is to never be afraid to leave your room and enjoy the campus! There are so many great people to meet on campus and you never know how they can impact your life in a beneficial way.
What is your favorite memory/experience at Georgia Southern thus far?
My favorite memory here at Georgia Southern was when I participated in a dance competition against four other people during homecoming week. I didn’t win but it was fun being myself and comfortable around other students.
I dyed my hair with the intent of it being burgundy but it resulted in becoming an orange color!
