Why did you choose Georgia Southern?
I didn’t want to go to Georgia Southern initially, but now I couldn’t imagine ever going anywhere else! There are so many opportunities to get into thing you would never have experienced and grow in ways you would never have expected! It’s big enough that you feel like you’re getting a good college experience, but small enough where you can create real relationships with faculty and other students and be treated like a person, not just a number.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is either the Meditation Room in the Russell Union or the fourth floor of Club Hendy (Henderson Library) because they’re both hands down the best places to take quick, between-classes naps!
As a new student, what was your favorite part of the SOAR program?
I actually didn’t get the traditional SOAR experience but I’ve always heard my friends and other people talk about loving their SOAR leaders and how much they got from going through SOAR. I wanted to be just as helpful and meet some great people while doing it!
What is the most important piece of advice you would give to incoming students?
GET INVOLVED! I cannot stress enough that college is only what you make it and if you don’t decide to immerse yourself in everything Georgia Southern has to offer you are missing out! Find your community, find what you love to do, or if nothing is for you, MAKE IT HAPPEN!
What is your favorite memory or experience at Georgia Southern thus far?
My favorite Georgia Southern experience was studying abroad in London during the Summer 2018 semester! I met so many different people and learned a lot about different parts of the world. It helped me solidify what I want to do in live and after I graduate and that’s amazing because I had no clue!
I can do a pretty spot on British Accent and I’m working on more!
