Why did you choose Georgia Southern?
Every college I visited felt like a really awesome house, but when I stepped foot on Georgia Southern’s campus it immediately felt like home. I loved the southern hospitality and how every person I met treated me as a student and not just another number. I felt comfortable on campus and the faculty made me feel important.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
Paulson Stadium. It is the prettiest little stadium in America. I love the tradition within that place and throughout our university. Every time there is a football game, every person has the same mindset and that is to win the game. You can feel the power of the Eagle Nation at every game. I love Georgia Southern football!
As a new student, what was your favorite part of the SOAR program?
Easily small groups. I loved getting to meet new people as soon as I got on campus. It made me feel confident on the first day of school knowing I at least knew my Soar Leader and a few familiar faces.
What is the most important piece of advice you would give to incoming students?
Get involved! What you put into college is what you will get out. College is a fresh start for this new stage in life. Join multiple organizations and make lots of friends. Stay up late and wake up early to study. Four years will fly by but they will truly be incredible.
What is your favorite memory or experience at Georgia Southern thus far?
Definitely storming the field after we beat App State this past year. It was such an awesome feeling being in Paulson with some of my very best friends. Everyone was screaming, dancing, and we couldn’t contain our excitement. I truly felt what it means to be True Blue that night.
I have been to over 14 different countries!
