Why did you choose Georgia Southern?

I chose Georgia Southern University because it felt like home away from home. There was so many great opportunities here at the university that I may not have gotten at other universities. I knew GSU was where I needed to be.

What is your favorite place on campus and why?

My favorite place on campus is the third floor in the library. It’s so quiet and peaceful. When I need to finish my work while I’m on campus that’s my go to place. More importantly, it gives me time to think and a peaceful mind.

As a new student, what was your favorite part of the SOAR program?

My favorite aspect of the SOAR program was when we went into small groups. You learn about your SOAR leader and why they love the university as much as you do and sorta kinda becomes my first friend in college.

What is the most important piece of advice you would give to incoming students?

The most important piece of advice I would give is to have fun, but stay on track. Create great study habits and make good decisions for yourself. Find out what works for you and how to balance whatever else you might have on your plate. Push yourself beyond your limits and watch how proud of yourself you become.

What is your favorite memory or experience at Georgia Southern thus far?

My favorite memory at Georgia Southern was becoming a SOAR leader. I’ll never forget that memory.

Fun Fact:

I only eat with spoons.
