Why did you choose Georgia Southern?
I chose Georgia Southern University because it stands true to its “Large-Scale, Small-Feel” environment. The opportunities are endless to become apart of smaller communities within the campus. Around every corner, there is a helping hand.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is Sweetheart Circle. It is a great place for students to hangout and socialize. The environment is perfect to get a break from life and enjoy the beauty of the campus!
As a new student, what was your favorite part of the SOAR program?
My favorite aspect of the SOAR program was realizing that I was not alone. I was surrounded by students that were or once were in my place of nervousness. SOAR provided a sigh of a relief to knowing I made the right choice by choosing Georgia Southern University as my new home.
What is the most important piece of advice you would give to incoming students?
Get involved with an open-mind! This campus has many clubs and organizations for students to get involved in. Even if the club is not related to your major, join. It is a great way to meet new people. You never know what doors will be opened by trying! College is a great way to learn more about yourself.
What is your favorite memory or experience at Georgia Southern thus far?
My favorite memory at Georgia Southern was winning against App State in football. I am not a huge sports person, but I remember the feeling of togetherness that I felt when the stadium was filled with students rooting for our Eagles! In the moment, differences were forgotten, and everyone came together to support our football team and to celebrate the victory
I take Mario Kart very seriously. Challenge me!
