Why did you choose Georgia Southern?
I chose Georgia Southern University for the many opportunities and possibilities that it has. There are endless ways to make an impact here, and I was immediately captivated by that.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is Russell Union. Russell Union is so awesome because there are just so many things to do. Whether I am relaxing upstairs, grabbing a 12 count from Chick-fil-A, or just going to the Gus Mart, the Russell Union will never disappoint.
As a new student, what was your favorite part of the SOAR program?
My favorite aspect of the SOAR program was First Night Out. At First Night Out, I was able to go to the RAC. There, I was able to play different games and socialize with other incoming freshmen.
What is the most important piece of advice you would give to incoming students?
Get involved!!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting involved on campus will help to make your college experience that much better.
What is your favorite memory or experience at Georgia Southern thus far?
My favorite memory here at Georgia Southern University has been BUILD. BUILD is an amazing program where incoming freshmen are able to stay in an on-campus residence hall for a week and go volunteer in the community. They also get the opportunity to learn about their individual leadership styles. Back when I was an incoming freshman during the summer of 2017, I attended BUILD and through that experience I gained some of my best friends, valuable knowledge about Statesboro’s campus, and learned so much about myself.
I once ate 36 peppermints in one day!
