Eagle Success Students

All Eagle Success participants are required to attend a SOAR session prior to their summer term. SOAR sessions are led by current Georgia Southern students who will be a great resource for you to ask questions of and show you what it means to be a Georgia Southern student!


SOAR Session Dates for Students Participating in Eagle Success 

All summer orientation sessions for the Statesboro Campus will open on Saturday, February 2, 2019.

  • SOAR L: June 20-22 – please notice that only one SOAR session is offered for students participating in Eagle Success.
  • Operation Move-In will take place on Thursday, June 20th from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Recreation Activity Center (RAC), and SOAR will begin the next day, Friday, June 21st, at 10:00 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22nd. SOAR will take place in the Russell Student Union.

Registration Fees

Student Fee: $95.00
Includes: First night stay in the Residence Hall on campus (if the student is not living on campus during the summer term), Orientation Program Guide, The Blue & White Student Guidebook, SOAR t-shirt, dinner on Day One and continental breakfast on Day Two, and trained staff to assist with your transition.

Special Notes for Eagle Success Students

  • You may apply online for on-campus housing for the summer term by going to www.gsuhousing.com. Move-In for Eagle Success is Thursday, June 20th.
  • If you are not living on-campus during Eagle Success and would like to stay on-campus in a residence hall for the night of June 20th (SOAR), please contact University Housing to arrange your overnight stay. This cost is included in your SOAR fee.

Family/Guest Fee: $35.00 first guest, $10.00 for each additional guest.
Includes: Orientation Program Guide, The Blue & White Family Guidebook, dinner on Day One and continental breakfast on Day Two, trained staff to answer questions, and the opportunity to learn more about the Parent & Family Association.
