All current Georgia Southern students who are in good academic standing with the University are eligible to apply to become a Southern Ambassador.
New Member Recruitment
New member recruitment takes place at the start of the spring semester each year. All students interested in becoming a Southern Ambassador on the Armstrong Campus must submit a new member application and letter of recommendation form to be considered for membership. Following the application and letter of recommendation form review, candidates are invited to participate in an interview, followed by a mock tour. Students selected to become Southern Ambassadors will begin their training immediately, and be expected to start giving campus tours by the end of the fall semester.
Southern Ambassadors provide weekday tours, group tours, and special event tours to prospective students and guests. Ambassadors also are required to assist with Eagle Previews, Accepted Students Day and other recruitment events throughout the year. Monthly meetings are mandatory and help ambassadors to re-energize and stay up to date with GS and Armstrong Campus facts.
Spring 2021 Southern Ambassador Applications are now being accepted. The deadline to apply is December 11th.
